Different seat fit in different vehicles?

Had a RXT installed rear facing (with angle adjuster) in the 3rd row of my Sienna. A friend's 2 year old rode in it while we were visiting in July. She liked his fit so much that she got one. She just installed it in her Odyssey (with angle adjuster) and he seems to fit so differently. He was above the 3rd (I think) slots in my van, and he's barely above the 2nd slots in her van. Is it possible to loose that much height from 1 vehicle to another?? The. It gets issue she has with fit is because now the headrest isn't low enough for him, whereas in my van it was perfect.

I don't have an answer for your question, but how do you handle the RF install in your third row? Do you have other seats all filled too? I'm trying to figure out car seat constellations for 5 kiddos under 6...

Yes, it's entirely possible. My daughter had a Marathon. She outgrew it in her aunt's car months before she outgrew it in my car or my mother-in-law's car. It has to do with the angle at which it installs on the seat.

I only had it as a temp use seat. I have 1 child, but I'm a nanny and I pick up odd babysitting jobs too. I had 3 seats across my 3rd row for some kids I was babysitting, that rarely (less than once a week) needed to ride in my car. I just loaded the 1yr through the trunk, but it is not something I'd want to do every day. In my 2nd row I had 1 seat folded down for 3rd row access (to allow the 2 older kids to climb in and me to buckle them), my DD's Frontier85, and a Keyfit base for my full time charge.

Yes!! Definitely possible. I have baby DD in an RXT in both my Caravan and Honda CR-V. In the CR-V she is on a lower slot than in the van, and that's with the angle adjuster.

Also I know that DS outgrew the classic MA rear facing in the CR-V way before he did in the van.

KNLRachel, we have 4 and soon 5 kids under 7. We use the 2011 Odyssey.

We have 3 harnessed in the second row (one RF and 2 FF), and one RF in the 3rd row (middle). Part of the third row is folded down so the child can easily climb in. When #5 comes along I am either going to put 2 outboard 3rd row (and lift and shove them over the seat, I know, I know) UNLESS a RF Radian fits next to a FF Radian WITH the portion of the seat folded down. I can't wait to test it out. I better do it soon or I'll be too big to get back there.

Thanks :) I am just annoyed that Toyota doesn't have tether in all the locations. I am thinking of turning DD back RF (3 yrs 7 months) but she just started getting car sick and I'm afraid of that - and I'm not a fan of trying to get the kiddos in the back... It needs to be workable, but I would feel horrible if something happened that I could have prevented by being willing to be inconvenienced....
