We have an [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Evenflo-Top-Stair-Plus-Gate/dp/B002W5RT9Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347020526&sr=8-1&keywords=evenflo+top+of+stairs+gate"]Evenflo gate[/ame] at the bottom of our stairs, but it's too hard for DD (4.5 yrs) to operate. I end up opening and closing it a million times a day because her room is upstairs and she's always going back and forth.
I tried the [ame="http://www.amazon.com/The-First-Years-Hands-Free/dp/B000058CC7/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347020404&sr=8-1&keywords=first+years+gate"]Hands Free[/ame] one and she can't step on it hard enough to open that either.
Any suggestions that would be easy enough for her to operate? Preferably available at BRU.
