making a demo seat

I went out to a mechanic's junk yard today. The only seat he had that I could use for demos is in a vehicle that the insurance will probably come take away. (Has anyone tried calling insurance companies to ask about demo seats?) We were then wondering if he could take a seatbelt off of the wall and anchor it onto the vehicle seat for me for demo purposes. What do you think? Anyone ever done that?

My hubby made me a demo seat. Let me see if I can find a Pic. My sister in laws father owns a junk yard, so he gave it to me.
