Checking interest and asking pricing advice-Boy Scout uniform pieces.

My son is quitting scouts to try out Civil Air Patrol, so I'm trying to fund a new uniform by selling off some of the Scout stuff. If there is interest I'll pull the pieces out I have for a full inventory of what we cab sell and what I want to donate back to his troop.

For sure I know we have two shirts:

One is the Blue Cub/Weeblos in youth Medium EUC

The other is the Tan Scout shirt in adult Small EUC

Both have patches on them which I can leave on if they will work for you, or take off as needed. I'll even swap them if you mail me your patches. I'm a decent, not wonderful, patch sewer and I have matching threads. The blue shirt has a bit of patch magic under a couple of patches from a hurried temporary camping incident. It can't be see with Tiger and Bear patches in place.

The Blue shirt sells for $22 new, and the Tan for $25, so I'm thinking $10 shipped for the Blue and $12 shipped for the Tan. Do those prices sound wacky?

Civil Air Patrol??? That's still a thing? I assumed that went away after WWII. How cool!

I have no need for scouting stuff but I hope you sell so your son can do it.

Yeah. It's really cool actually. My son is not the slightest bit motivated by a patch, pin, or belt-loop. CAP Cadets rewards work with privileges (like getting to go up in a plane during an airshow) and opportunities (like a 2 week exchange program to another country). They get trained for real careers, both in and out of the military, assist with search and rescue and disaster relief, and have real responsibilities to keep their bodies physically fit and keep their grades in good standings.

Have you met Marc (on this board, he's on the SBS board and he lives up by Scoutingbear?) He's involved in CAP. When you come to SBS check events his patrol usually sends a bunch of volunteers to work the front table and stuff.

No I haven't. Scoutingbear lives where again?

I was thinking Jennie might have. LOL. But they both live up in the Santa Clarita Valley (I'm trying not to be too specific for their privacy.) Not too far north of me (I'm in the north part of L.A. County.)

If I've met Marc, I don't remember, but it's possible.

At lunch today I said to DH, "Did you know the Civil Air Patrol still exists?" He was like, "Yeah..." in a "duh" sort of way. So I guess I'm just in the dark, so to speak. (See what I did there?)

I would be interested in a boy scout hat and scarf if you have one. I need it just for a picture...

Here is what I need...

Yes, my mistake, wolf scout... This is a picture of my husband back many many years ago. My youngest looks like a clone so we were going to take a lookalike picture just for kicks.

I might be interested in the tan shirt. A will be a WEBLOS next year and his pack starts with the tan shirts then. Can you send me a picture?
