I just twist the buckle a 1/2 turn, putting the button on the inside. It works just fine and no extra stuff.

I like it!

Re: Putting the button on the inside-- I always do this, too, but on my RNs the button ends up very close to the little plastic lip near the RF belt path. I'm always worried that in a crash, the carseat might move violently enough the the button smacks off that lip and the seatbelt could pop open. Anyone else ever thought about this? Is it a legitimate concern?

I have always been a bit worried about accidental unbuckling on rebound or multiple impacts with half twists.

On her page though didn't she say she recommends using a paper cup or a silcone cupcake holder as the plastic cups break easy and could be a hazard.

Me too, I avoid half-twists if I can. I also worry that little feet can accidentally hit and unbuckle, so I use one of those seatbelt guards that twist like a medicine bottle cap. Probably worrying for nothing (it would be hard to unbuckle with a foot.) Though I have different kids in and out so much it also prevents them from accidentally unbuckling DD's seat. I would have used a toilet paper roll/something like this if I had thought of it before buying the guard thingy. ;)

Yeah, although I worry about DS's feet smacking into the button, too, especially since he throws his legs over the sides of the RN. I actually haven't been worried about a half twist with any other seat we've used. The RN seems really iffy, though.

What is the seatbelt guard mentioned by a PP? (Sorry, don't know how to multiquote on my iPod.)

This is what I have: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Buckle-Guard-Seat-Safety-Black/dp/B002XUYF9C"]Amazon.com: Buckle Guard Seat Belt Buckle Safety Guard, Black - 2 Pack: Baby[/ame]
Looks like it doesn't work for some people, but it works in my '06 Prius. There are a bunch of different versions, same idea. Like I said... a DIY thing would work just the same; I'm not creative though and didn't see everyone else's ideas before buying it

Thanks for the link. I didn't realize there was such a thing.

I might give the cup trick a try. I've already attempted the toilet paper roll thing, but I must have been doing something wrong because it really didn't seem like it would do anything. It kept slipping out of place??
