First off, I'm not doing this. I was just speaking with a friend and this was her argument and I'm truly not sure if she has a point or not so I'm asking the experts.
Her son (6 or 7) rides in the car in no sort of car seat or booster seat. I explained that the shoulder belt needs to be at x spot and the lap belt needs to be on the lap. She said the lap belt IS on his lap and he sits in the middle where it's a lap only belt so he doesn't need a booster.
Thoughts on how I can explain to her that he does need one?
