WWYD, FR85, MR, or o/s MA for several long trips?

We will be taking several 2 hour trips (like 5 in the next 6 days). We will be using dh's truck. Currently I have an FR85 installed in there for DS3 and he does seem to sleep fine in it but I'm wondering if I should switch it out for the week with either our MR or our old style MA. They'd be used FF since ds3 is over the height limit (has less than 1" to top of shell) on the MR and over the weight limit (37lbs) on the MA to RF. He's never complained at all about the FR85 so maybe I should just leave well enough alone but I can't help but think he'd be more comfortable in one of the other seats for sleeping.

So what do you think?

I'd just keep the FR85 in there. Back in May we took a 2,000 mile road trip with DD in hers and she was always comfy, no head slump when sleeping, good leg support and she was a happy camper, shoot we hardly heard a peep out of her the whole trip :)

My J picked a FF MR, of all of my billion seats, for his 20-hr road trip last year (at 4.5.) He was thrilled with it... Something about the recline + cupholders made for a winner. So yeah, I'd ask Gavin, but if he's indecisive the MR would get my vote.

I would ask Gavin. We just came back from a 51 hour round trip car ride from middle of Missouri to middle of Florida and back and my dd(6) sat in the f85 in booster mode the whole way and was great for sleeping.

I would use the frontier, we use it for 12 hour drives a lot and DS is always comfortable in it. Also the cupholders are great!

Well we ended up using the FR. He fell asleep about 10 minutes into the trip and slept till we got to our destination almost 2 hours later.:) I did look back at him a few times and think he'd probably had been more comfy in the MR because of the recline, but he didn't seem to mind the FR at all.

Frontier! DD uses hers for all long car trips and loves it! She has pretty much outgrown our Marathons by height, so not much choice there, but she loves her Frontier.
