Question Britax Expiry

I have a friend who is using a Britax that has the old square chest clip. I was pretty sure those are all expired, but wanted to check first before mentioning it. She has another Britax that is newer, not sure why she was using this one yesterday.

You are right; they are all expired. They've been expired for a good while now. I had a May 2006 Boulevard with the rounded chest clip that's now expired, so those old square chest clips haven't been used for some time now if even the seats with newer rounded clips are already hitting their expiration dates.

Also, if you go to the Britax site, they have a list of "retired" (no longer manufactured) car seats, with pictures and each model either has a user guide or the notation "This seat should no longer be in use as the 6 year product expiration date has passed".

Obviously a car seat could still be expired if not listed as above, but at least it tells you when all of the seats from an entire model line have definitely expired.
