Need help with 8yr hf autism

I have an 8 yr oldson with hf autism. He is 50" tall and weighs 45 lbs: He is prone to severe behavioral meltdowns with aggressive and destructive tendancies. I Currently have him in hbb and he is okay 90% of the time but it's the other 10% that is a problem. I have the child lock on the door since recently he tried to exit vehicle while driving! I am struggling to find a seat that will restrain him, and last a while, I think he needs the 5pt harness still, but he is so close to the limit height wise (cost is also an issue).
I am also wondering if there is any way to restrain his feet/legs as he will kick and thrash about kicking the window, seat door, etc. and I'm worried about injury and damage.

The folks at EZ On is most likely to have what you're looking for - harnesses and vests for kids-adults with SN. (You will need special top tethers for most of their systems.)

Best of luck - I've witnessed a few kids with autism in their rages. I hope you are able to find ways to help him better cope with frustration/anger.
