Even though it has input from NHTSA and a CPST, there are some things that make me cringe, like LATCH should be used when available and that it is safer. Really, it reads, "... is designed to make installation easier and safer: Available in all new vehicles since 2002, it attaches the car seat directly to the vehicle without relying on seatbelts.". It does state that not all cars have attachments for the middle seat, but to use the system even if it means placing the seat in a side (ob) position. <- I was relieved to see that since the bullet before dedicates the center as safest and to use it.

I think it means it safer bc it's easier to use than a seat belt thus having less room for error. But yeah...I don't like the fact that it says it should be used even if you have to move the seat ob.

The CPST credited on the first page is Benjamin Hoffman, M.D.. He is a CPST-I and fellow of the American Academy of pediatrics. I have a feeling that those squicky things in the article are from editing. None are incorrect, just some are lacking. Kwim?
