Has anyone heard anything about this yet? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere here yet.

Wow! 4 to 40 pounds? Wowza!

It has EIGHT recline positions. Huh. And anti-rebound?

I wonder how long the base is used. Unless this has a base similar to the SmartSeat (I didn't look all that closely), I can't imagine that the base can be used to 40 pounds. Though I guess we have 35-pound bases, so maybe I'm just babbling. :p

I am just trying to imagine my friends "giant" 18mo old who is 38lbs shoved in to that pretty little seat :p

I am curious about the shell height and really wondering how it can keep a non-tiny babe happy in terms of recline.

Maybe they will carry it in store and i will go take pics :)

people who take taxis and who don't even go in a car often could use it... more affordable than the orbit system... they could go straight to the RSTV when they outgrow it.. or the safety1st go

I can't imagine carrying a 40 lbs child in it.

I was about to say that I doubt people would try to carry a 40-lb child in it, but you never know!

I stopped carrying the infant seat when all the kids were about 15 pounds OR could sit up reliably (but did occasionally use it past that age/weight if the kids fell asleep and I was going shopping). From about 15 pounds/sitting up until they were about 20 pounds, I just left it in the car and used it as a carseat.

But I am sure there will be some people trying to carry their typically-developing four-year-old, 40-pound children in it. :p

I can't find it through that link. Do you think they posted it too soon and had to take it down. Sounds interesting either way!

No, it's still there. Can't seem to get to it on a mobile device on that link. I clicked that link, then went to the full TRU site using link at bottom of page, then searched for it.

I like the "newborn to 2 year" sentence.

Looks super interesting... hope it comes out soon! I wouldn't buy it for my DD now, but that's definitely a seat I still want to try out.

The seat goes to 40lbs, but how tall is it? Do you think it's similar to the SR35? If they're really thinking it will get most people to 2, they must have made it taller.

And wider too - my son fit in a SR35 by weight and height at 2, but his shoulders were way squashed.

That's pretty exciting, other than the name. I was looking forward to only having three Snugrides to deal with.
