Just some random awesome things that happened today (and it's only 10:30!!!) that I had to share.
1) Two weeks ago someone opened their door into my side mirror as I was pulling into a parking spot and bent the mirror in so that my window doesn't go up all the way. I finally have it in to be fixed after dealing with insurance and getting the deducible waived, etc. So I was given a rental car since they will need my car for at least 2 days. It turns out that my car will be fully detailed (yay!!!) and in exchange for my deathtrap of a '91 Tercel I am now driving a '11 Impala
All the airbags I could ask for, 3 sets of UAS, power seats, a stereo, a trunk that you could fit at least 3 bodies in....I'm going to be so sad when I have to give it back.
2) Then I dropped dd off at preschool. While we were there I saw a friend's brand new baby but his seat was a mess. Alice told my friend "baby's buckle need to be up at his armpits and his straps are all loose. My Mommy will teach you. That baby is not safe!" She is turning into a mini-tech, it's awesome! And she was asking her preschool friends if they had their straps tight and their buckles up by their armpits.
So I did a quick seat check with the mom, knowing that she's not going to retain a while lot with no sleep and holding a crying 3 week old baby. Tomorrow I will do a proper seat check with the dad when he does preschool dropoff.
3) I also went to get new CRST cards printed up. The guy at the copy place is in a few community organizations and is going to help me arrange check events. :2thumbsup:
