Helping a friend, need info and links please.

I have a friend who up until tonight believed car seat safety was all hype. After we talked he now understands that there are actual reasons, backed up, why we use seats.
So I could use a little help.

I would like links to why we use each type of seat.
What the recomendations are and why.
Links to crash tests of RF, FF, HBB, NBB, and seatbelt.

And anything els that might help.

He has two big boys 7 & 9 but they still fit in my FR85 and PWSGL, but will most likely be using NBB. They use nothing now, live with thier mom, my friend doesn't have car.

He is someone who does everything by logic and has to have something to back it up other than my word. He really wants to know why are safer than not using one, and is there anything to back it up.

So if you all can help I would really appreciate it.

Thanks :)

Rather than overwhelm him with info he has no use for (RFing crash tests, etc.), I would provide him just with what dies pertain (info on boosters).

I can't link right now, but hopefully someone can provide a link to the 5-step test, info on seatbelt syndrome, and maybe a pertinent video or two.

Yes, I do want to concentrate on the 5-steps and boosters. But he specifically wants videos of crash tests. His kids mom also has a two year old and he wants more info for him as well, mainly about projectiles. He has a say so in his kids but not her baby so I think he wants to educate her on projectiles (baby not in any seat).

I looked back through a few pages of threads in this forum and found the following links that might be helpful to you. You'll have to sort through them and decide what is helpful and what's not, but hopefully some of it will help. Some links are to the actual info, and some are links to previous threads that have further info linked within them.

As for crash test videos, there are a lot of different types on youtube that can be searched.
