Question Belt Fit Check

So DS is turning 8 in September and he is very close to outgrowing the HB of the TB and it will expire next year. My oldest DS has an Amp which is my favorite, favorite booster so middle DS has rode in it on occasion and I know he fits well. So today at Target they had a RED one (DS all time favorite color, because of Lightning McQueen) and it had a fun bright crazy print that he loved, so we got it. I'd never seen this print before: http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/mobile_product_detail.jsp?tcin=14068425

I really did want to keep him in a HB in that 3rd row as I just don't like the skimpy headrests back there, but the only HB booster that is taller than the HBTB is the FR 85 that I liked for our 05 Ody. Most HB's get caught in the belt guides or they are not good belt fits. I also can't justify a FR 85 as just a booster as my mini 3 year old will never need such a huge seat as she still RF's in a MA70.

Hoping this belt fit meets everyone's approval. I think I need to raise the headrest a tad, I had that seat folded down when we went camping this weekend and I think it's a little low still.

:yeahthatlove: He looks great! Does that headrest go any higher though? I worry he's going to be over that headrest in a pretty short amount of time.

Yeah, the head rest goes higher. I mentioned that in my OP. I had that seat down and I don't think I raised it up enough. It goes up really high, accommodates an adult. I will move it up a notch today.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. He was very happy to finally have a red seat!

Woops! This only being able to drink one cup of coffee plus first trimester tiredness thing is killing my brain lol.

great fit... headrest is fine (as long as the tops of his ears don't go above it... when that happens, you'll need to raise it)... down the line, if he runs out of room in the headrest before passing the 5-step test, the cosco ambassador (the one with the cupholder cosco sells backless) buys you extra room as it sits much lower... and (I've only had this seat one day, so can't be positive if it gives as much room as the ambassador) so does the top side, though that one can be a learning curve with having to rout the shoulderbelt over the armrest instead of under... I'm having to remind Ruthie every single time with that one.
