Is there any article or study or something to convince a person the back seat is the place for kids under 13?

This blog post by a pediatrician helps to explain the reasons why kids under 13 should be in the back seat.

There's also NHTSA.gov's page that mentions that kids 8-12 should be in the back seat.

There's some research that children should be even older before they sit in the front seat. This abstract is about research that children under the age of 15 should be in the back seat. I have a link to an article that interviews the researchers with a quote that one of the researchers would no longer let his 13 year old nephew ride in the front seat (or something like that). I'll try to find that article as well.

Does anyone have a link to a crash test or video suggestion for the said kid/parent that would show the importance of a booster rather than none?

I know Wendy has posted videos of the 6 and 10 year old dummies submarining with no booster, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

The first one is too little kiddish! In the second pictures, why does the seat belt only let the child slide out so far, I wonder?
