Which seats should I put in the new Subaru?

DH bought a 2009 Subaru Legacy today. The kids rarely ride in his car and he'd prefer to keep the seats in the trunk until he needs them. Right now it has a Roundabout 50 and Frontier 85 in it.

I'm thinking the Radian 80 (not SL) and the Maestro may be better if he's going to keep them in the trunk.

How does the Radian do RF? I have an angle adjuster.

Is there a chance any of those seats would work in the center with one behind the passenger?

Kids are 4 about 40" and 37lbs and 2 1/2, 34 1/2" and 26.5lbs.
I'd prefer latch installs when possible.

I don't know about the seats, but since you prefer LATCH I would consider lightweight seats -- since Subaru LATCH includes the seat's weight. Just food for thought. :)

That is part of the reason I'm thinking of putting the maestro in. Anyone know the max weight for latch on the maestro? I couldn't find it in the manual.

Yeah, Subaru's LATCH limit is 60 pounds, which includes the weight of the child plus the seat.

even with the front seats all the way back you should be able to fit the radian rf center with a seatbelt install. The legacies have more interior room front to back than the impreza models and I can get the radian rf in my impreza.

Is this with or without the angle adjuster?

Both. At least in the impreza the radian naturally is pretty upright.

How does it do outboard?

With the front seats all the way back? Not well at least in my car. Way to upright for my liking and heavily braced on the front seat
