1997 Isuzu Rodeo...LATCH? TETHER?

I really am new to this and a little clueless...but does a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo have LATCH?

Vehicles that old do not have lower LATCH anchors. They may have top tethers or a location in which to install the top tether.

The '97 Rodeo can have one tether anchor installed in the center seating position. The part number is 8-97025-763-2, and the kit runs $7-$13 plus installation cost. There is no tether option for the outboard seating positions.

HMMM, I wonder if that means that I can have a tether anchor installed in the center seating position of my 01' Rodeo. I already have outboard anchors but would be nice to have the center one. HMMM, must call dealership.

According to the LATCH manual, the '01 comes with LATCH in both outboard positions and can be retrofited with a TA in the center. Part number is 8-97248-080-1.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I have 2 kids, so the middle seat isn't going to work for us this time.

That's OK...DH is getting a brand new car in October - so it'll be up-to-date!

You may find that you can put one in the center and one outboard. That's what I did when I "only" had two kids, even though I had 3 tether anchors.
