Nautilus v Argos/Maestro/AlphaElite65/Maestro/Complete Air PICS!

Models:
DD1 has a 16" torso (or a little bit longer)
DD2 has a 14" torso

1. I took a picture of the back of the Argos and Nautilus. See the difference? THe Nautilus has red rollers that help the harness adjuster more smoothly.

2. See the huge difference in the crotch buckle size AND the crotch length? Not sure what Graco was thinking when they redesigned both for the Argos. Not to mention, it was very difficult to change the crotch buckle position on the Argos.

3. I'm in love with the Maestro:love:--it was such a good fit for DD2. I didn't take a picture of DD1 in it b/c she is 50.2#. It's a light seat, easy to change harness heights and crotch buckle position. If I didn't have so many seats, I would totally buy this one.

4. I like the Alpha 65 for both DDs. Good fits for both. Was rather easy to adjust the head wing position.

5. Complete Air was DD1's favorite b/c of the purple butterflies.

6. TRU Associate ended the great visit on a disappointing note. After telling me all his suggestions for my girls, he went on to say that he had a 2 month old son. He loves the GN and told me that when his son is 1 year and 20# he's going to get it. He then followed that statement with "Pediatricians recommend rear facing to 24 months." I said, "Yep, I hear that rearfacing is much safer." He replied. "Yes. But I don't want to have to buy so many seats." So I recommended the EFTA. He replied, "Well, if I were to buy a seat between the infant seat and the GN, I'd buy a Britax. I'm a brand snob." Huh? OF course, I told him about nobetterdeal.com. He then told me I should work there but don't tell people about nbd.:p

Argos' tiny crotch buckle and short strap: Why Graco would make the buckle smaller AND shorter to hold a 70# child beats me:

Your girls look like such great sports

DD1 looks a little squished in the butterfly seat. I'd pick that seat because of the cover too, though!!

They were such great sports:D I then took them over to the bike section and let them test out some bikes:)

SUPER cute models! Great pictures.

In the first photo, isn't the Nautilus on the left? And I'm guessing the display GN is older because they have that new buckle (like on the Argos) on the GN now too.

Thank you:)

Yes! You are right!! The Nautilus is on the left. I'll correct that. Bummer, I was hoping that so many people complained of the new buckle, that they went back to the previous design.

your girls are so gorgeous! still loving your odd's braids! (I love textured hair styled natural... don't know why, just do!)

if you loved the maestro, you would have loved to check out a securekid 300 or 400... I take it they didn't have them?

Thanks!! DD1 loves them too b/c I don't have to do her hair everyday:p

No. I went to TRU, so there wasn't much of a selection. I went there to check out the Argos but really didn't like what I saw.

The rep was hilarious though. He told me to get a mighty tite instead of worrying about lock offs. I told him that I heard that they really shouldn't be used and he replied, "Well, all the companies are going to say that." He was only trying to be helpful but .......

Maybe they did because that would be awesome!! I'd be on the phone ordering two the second they were available. :p

I just got a replacement buckle from Graco for our Nautilus. The old style was not releasing on one side about 85% of the time, which freaked me out from a safety standpoint (getting kiddo out of car quick if needed). I noticed the new style's strap was shorter, which is annoying, but at least it opens!!

Your girls are absolutely adorable!
