Question Well... Crap....

I had to wash my DD's Boulevard this week due to a vomit-fest she had on the way home from the park. And by wash, I mean EVERYTHING on the seat needed scrubbed.

Now I can't find the foam cushion that goes under the padding for her seat  I'd swear that I washed it and set it out to dry.... But now I can't find the darn thing  I know that I've put everything together as it's dried/aired out..... But now getting the seat back together I can't find it.

Can I just go to the local fabric store and buy a foam pad and cut it to the same size/shape (I have another Boulevard (in use) that I can use for a pattern).....

darn darn darn darn darn.......

No, but you can call Britax and order a replacement...

How did you wash the harness straps?

By hand with only water and lots of fingernail scrubbing (gag). They line dried inside, too.

What can I do until I get the replacement pad??

Do you have another seat you can use or borrow one from a trusted friend? If not maybe its good time to buy a cheap back up?

She's currently in a belted booster. I'm not a huge fan of it, as she's such a squirmy thing.. but it's working until I get the seat put back together.

We've gone through sooo many car seats in the last 7 years that what we don't currently use I wind up gifting to my sister or someone that is in greater need of it than what they're currently using (we've been foster parents and welcomed 7 under the age of 2, forever keeping 5 of those). I keep 2 back-ups... 1 we off-road with and the beltable booster.

I think either the wind took it or a squirrel is SUPER happy right now. :p

But yeah, that's a huge bummer. :( You could also post on Craigslist asking if anyone has an expired Boulevard they need to destroy...

I actually had an epiphany after posting this....

I have a Boulevard in our garage that I'm waiting to destroy after dealing with the insurance company after my BIL was in an accident a few weeks back. Never.Even.Dawned. on me that I had it stuck up in the corner. I grabbed the pad out of it and washed it... Currently waiting for it to dry INDOORS!!!! before I put the seat back together. I figure the pad is okay to use again.... just not the hardware. (thinking on this.... I may even remove the covers and wash them to have on hand for future vomit-fest activities.....:D )

OMG! Our padding disappeared too! I have no idea where it went. It disappeared when I washed my cover! This was a while ago. LOL I ordered a new one from Britax when I ordered a new harness.
