Low back boosters

Hi
I posted recently about my turbo booster back slipping and am waiting to hear back from Graco about possible replacement. The thing is DS is 7.5 and really tall in the torso so on the top slot anyway. He rides in a Monterey and parkway sg in our cars but the turbo in my parents cars. Would he be ok in a low back for occasional trips? He won't be sleeping or anything I am just not comfortable with them I like the added protection that high backs look like they provide. I would make sure the headrests are adjusted and the belt positioner is used if needed. Also does everyone use the positioners?
Thanks that was long winded!

If he's not sleeping, and he's mature enough to remain in position without the high back, AND he has head support up to at least the tops of his ears, AND he has good belt fit - go for it. Provided the belt fits well he's fine. It may have been mentioned in your other thread, but do make sure the screws are in the arm rests of your Turbo.

What she said, except to add that the belt needs to fit well but this can be achieved with the shoulder belt loop/positioner. Chances are he still will need that part to keep the belt off his neck, though you will need to try it out to check. :)
