What's the consensus on Diono piddle pads?

We're smack in the middle of potty training with a 4 hour each way trip coming up this weekend. I plan to use pull-ups for her in the car but they don't hold much. Is a diono piddle pad ok to use?

the Dry Seat or whatever it's called? I don't have a problem with it, but it doesn't work that well, FYI. Use a puppy training pad or cloth diaper instead, lol.

I have one next to the carseat for 2-year-old. We don't use it BUT it's there in case. I never know! If something comes up...

I bought one recently and I took it out of the seat after a week. It drove me nuts! The thing doesn't stay in place and the design is kinda crappy. There is a whole for the crotch buckle, but that's it. It would be nice if there were slots for the harness straps that come out by the hips to help keep the pad in place and also to prevent the pad from folding up and over my son's thighs when he's harnessed in.

The dry seat allowed liquid to bead up and roll right into the carseat through the holes and folds, so it wasn't my favorite. I like the Summer Infant Deluxe Piddle Pad better.

On another thread someone suggested the blue Chux pads if you happen to have any of those laying around. I've got packs leftover from my home birth so I'm saving them for potty training! :)

I just used a disposable diaper. I liked it because I could wrap around my kid, including under the buckle, rather than having something just underneath him on the seat.
