I'm not missing anything, right? Toyota hasn't changed their stance on borrowing LATCH have they? Stupid sales guy.

We just bought a 2010 Matrix & I haven't checked the manual yet in regards to LATCH in the centre but I can check later? I'm pretty sure we had a Toyota at a seat check & centre borrowing was not allowed but I can't remember the year or make of that vehicle specifically

Yeah the '11 LATCH manual says no borrowing for sure. :D

I just had a '12 Camry rental but there was no manual. Is a copy available on their website?

It doesn't specifically say no borrowing but obviously that's what the LATCH manual says as of 2011 so yeah, nice job salesman.

They have some other videos about LATCH in other Toyota models...Some they are just showing the locations of LATCH - even one that shows the little zippers on the Prius. But there is one that they are showing LATCH and Seatbelt - and showing how to lock the seat belt to keep it tight.

Overall they have good intentions - these videos could be super helpful to customers if they were to correct the mistakes. I bet they would be receptive if a local tech were to advise them and to help them with their script.
