Oh the things you learn when you read your manual:)

I was reading my TFP manual because Im bored.

Anyway I thought it was interesting that on page12 in the "Warning: Death or serious injury may occur" section it says DO NOT use this convertible in the rear seat of a compact pick up truck. Sever head injury or death may occur.

Then it shows a picture of a small extended cab truck on page 14 with a big No on it.

Also I didnt know Learning Curve followed NHTSA guidelines but apparently it does according to page 68 in the manual.

For the recline and premier models it also allows the seat to be reclined while ffing. Also, there is no weight limit to the infant padding- just that must be removed for ffing. Also, I found a mistake in my manual. I think it said the wrong color or something- can't remember exactly what it was now.

I called to ask if there was a weight limit to the padding on our premier and they told me it must be removed at 22 pounds.

Perhaps it's another mistake? I know the c630 manuals say 22 pounds, but the c650 and c670 just say it can't be used ffing.

Yeah it doesnt have a weight limit but it also says that it should only be used until the child reaches the first harness slots and not to be used forward.

Yeah I knew it could be reclined. Those are things that jsut jumped out to me as interesting since I havent read my manual in awhile. Also I dont have or plan to ever have a small extended cab pickup so no worries there anyway lol

No, it says it must be used till the first set of slots are reached without the pad. It has 3 sets of slots on the insert.

I know it has 3 sets of slots but on page 54 it says " The height insert is only needed until the child's shoulder is at or above position 1"

The underline to me indicates that it should only be used until the child shoulders reach or are slightly above position 1 without it.

Thats why I called our regular manual said only to 22 lbs the premier didnt say so I called and they said no but maybe it was just the rep I spoke to. My theory is if it has three slots it should be able to be used past 22 lbs and the first slot. But I just went by what the lady told me.

"Only needed" means after that has been met, it's optional.

Yeah, I agree the wording about the insert is a little wonky. But you can use it beyond the first set of slots.

My manual has the wrong color for the lockoffs. I think it says they're red when they're actually yellow. :)
