How long did you have to wait to find a CPS Tech class?

I've been stalking the Safe Kids website to find a class, but they are all very far away (like six hours away). I need one either local (I'm in Eastern Oregon) or in Portland where my parents live so that I have child care for my DD. I just hope something comes up in the next year or so. Is there any way to try and arrange a class locally?

I started watching in October and finally found one that was close enough (1.5 hours away) at the end of May... so almost 8 months.

Almost a year since I seriously began watching for a class, and I was approved this past week to register for a controlled class scheduled for next month.

THREE YEARS?!?! Holy cow.
There are several here, but all 3+ hours away. I can't do that still having a nursin baby, so I'm still waiting, too. Ho hum.

Yep, and even then it was 45 minutes away when DD was still nursing a half-dozen times a day. She did not do well during my class at all.

The first day was OK, but the second about halfway through the day she was inconsolable. Went into the bedroom looking for me and passed out on the bed crying. The rest of the week I had to try to sneak out before she woke up, not easy since we cosleep and she always woke within 5 minutes of my getting up.

How long did you have to wait to find a CPS Tech class?
