True Fit with IAlert

My only concern with it would be that it may cause a distraction while driving if it blings or something, but I guess that falls into the same category as text messages so you just shut the volume off entirely? The only issue with that is that I forget to turn the volume back on for about an hour when I get out of the car..

I think it is very interesting and I could see it being something I would use for DH's car (should we ever have another) as long as the angle thing allows for the entire range of angles allowed for newborn to toddler or allows you to ignore that aspect if it only monitors newborn angle. If we have another, DH would rarely, only in an emergency have the kiddo alone, and i could totally see him forgetting in the midst of his normal routine. DH's work hours do not allow for any kind of regular kid care commitment, so he only has a kid as a special treat or an emergency.

Neat. That's totally something I would consider for in a secondary vehicle, especially here in TX where parked cars get REAL hot REAL fast.

The RF angle thing gives me pause, though. Is that only for newborns, or for older kids, too, I wonder? And if it's for the entire range of acceptable angles, what does that say about the importance of getting the angle exactly right? Until now, I've been comfortable eyeballing the angle for my 3 y.o., and I'm pretty sure our TFP is currently close to- but almost certainly a little more upright than- 35*. (My reasoning is that there isn't a super accurate way of measuring the angle incorporated into the carseat and if it were that super duper important, they'd include a better way of measuring the angle than the level line or the ball indicator which isn't always spot on.) Are they suggesting that it's as unsafe to install the seat slightly more upright or reclined as it is to have the child unbuckled or locked in a parked car??

Definitely interested in hearing more about this product!

Did we see any more information about this seat at Lifesavers?

I wonder how extensively the iAlert has been tested. In traffic. Going through a drive-thru, Waiting in line at a school drop off...
