So, Gavin is FF in an RXT in my truck. When I first put him in his shoulders are over the 2nd to the top slots but as soon as I'm done buckling he slouches down and those slots are just slightly above his shoulders. The crotch buckle is in the furthest out slot and the next one in is under him (plus the manual says use the outer most slot when over 30lbs) so that won't help the slouch problem any way. When I put it on the top slots after he slouches down the slots are like at the top of his ears. I'm wondering if I should try using the bottom infant insert. It does have 3 sets of slots for the crotch buckle and then when he slouches those top slots won't look quit so high. What do you think? Should I give it a try or is it a bad idea to use that insert since he's so big. I couldn't find anything in the manual that said when to discontinue use of the insert so I'm assuming it can be used up to the full weight of the seat if you wanted to. Opinions?
