I want a new booster for DD...

We don't travel much in DH's car so I'm okay with her TurboBooster in there, but we use my car A LOT and she's a car sleeper... and I don't like how she is in the TB when sleeping. The headwings aren't deep enough for her to rest against, so she angles her neck up to the ceiling and she winds up out of position.

I'm looking at the Monterey but are there any other more affordable options. I see the Harmony Dreamtime. Are the headwings on that any deeper than the TB's? Can anyone suggest any other boosters that are reasonably-priced that are good for booster sleepers?

the harmony dreamtime wings are MUCH deeper.

I'd also look at my favorite booster for sleepy kids (besides the Monterey), the Recaro Vivo!

If you have the vehicle support for it, I'd look at the boost air, the maxi cosi rodi/rodi xr (either one has ample head supports for sleepy noggins)

and while not the tallest, the headwings are great on the combi kobuk

I thought the Vivo was discontinued? So where would I find one?

I was leaning toward a booster that can be eventually used backless, although that's not absolutely necessary.

I don't know why I thought the Vivo was discontinued. Must've been thinking of something else. It doesn't go backless, though, does it? I'd prefer that option.

I looked at the TB with Safety Surround at Target and didn't feel like the wings were any bigger... just more support around the torso.

I need to take DD out shopping, it seems...

There's also the Boost Air and the Compass B540 I see that seem to have sizeable wings... off to search for more info on them.

I forgot about the compass. If you try one let me know what she thinks. I wouldn't mine picking one up for in my car.

the vivo doesn't convert to backless, but neither does the compass... the compass (except for the newer more pricey versions) are on the shorter side for boosters
