#9 made me lol because its soooo true
9. Car Seats that are “Creatively” Installed.

Car seats should not be tied down with bungee cords, duct taped, screwed to wood platforms or wire supports, wedged between captain chairs, or installed upside down. Also, do not ask us how to install a car seat in a boat, on a bike or on a horse.

"On the other hand, if the whole car shakes when you pull on the seat, it’s too tight."

So installing the seat too tightly is bad? Ive always been under the impression of 'the tighter, the better'.

Too tight can cause stress marks to the car seat as well as not allow enough movement in a crash to absorb the crash forces.

That is an awesome list and its written in a way that is neither patronizing nor accusatory. I bookmarked it to send to friends. Thanks OP!

Yeah if its too tight it can put stress marks on the car seat or not leave enough stretch for the seat belt. I dont think a regular person could really make it that tight though unless they used a tool.

I love the way it compares carseats to computers about them expiring. Great post! Thanks!
