bob or phil and teds

So I'm not sure where to post this question, I chose this forum because the main purpose for my stroller need is to be more active.

I have a one year old and a three year old. I currently have a bumbleride indie twin, which rides great, but my kids end up pestering eachother and it makes any walk I want to take them on miserable- so I don't use it =(

I was considering a single bob revolution (side by sides are out) and wearing one child as needed, and switching them as needed. Then I thought of the phil and ted's explorer, which has the option to be used as a double if both children need to ride.

So I'm wondering how the bob revolution and the phil and ted's explorer (in single mode) compare to eachother. I realize my older daughter won't be riding much longer, but it's nice to have the option still. How does the phil and ted's handle? I know the bob is great, but I haven't been able to try a phil and ted's. I have found good deals that make both similar in price, so I want whichever one I will be most inclined to use, which will be based on how well my kid(s) enjoy riding in it... and of course is easiest for me to push/fold/load etc. I have a forrester, and an australian shepherd that generally rides in the trunk, so I'm hoping one or both will take up no more than half of the space (she only needs half the trunk, she's little =)

Thanks for your help!!!

I promise if u go with a bob you won't regret it, the Phil and teds quality will disappoint you compared to a bob, leg room is lacking, and steering off road is decent but the bob blows it out of the water, I have owned 2 Phil and teds (e3 and explorer) and 4 bobs, I have a single at the moment a ce and it's great for jogging on my county roads and off rd anywhere my 4 year old sits on the foot rest if he needs a breather pm me any questions :)

Sent from my iPod touch, sorry for any auto-correct typos!

I had a Phil and Teds before I bought my B-Ready, and their customer service is horrible. They also are not built to withstand use as well as BOB's are, in my opinion. BOB will not disappoint, and they are very durable.

Have you considered a Britax B-Ready? I hear the 2012 model is pretty cool (won't meet my needs but might meet yours) and you can add a second seat to that too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, although now I'm worried! Before I read this, I went ahead and bought a current model phil and teds explorer, I had seen great reviews for it. It was on sale for $414 with the doubles kit and sun cover, with free shipping and no tax. I panicked that since there was only one at that price it would be gone if I waited to decide. (a $665 value).

So I hope I'm not going to regret it. I had hoped it would function in single mode similar to a bob. I don't need it for major off roading, just uneven terrain, curbs, dirt, mulch, grass, etc, and also able to manuever in small stores.

I did consider the b-ready pretty seriously, but decided it was more stroller than I needed. It has a pretty large footprint, and I know it's a great product, but I think I need something more compact for our area and limited trunk space. I really wanted the stroller as a single to be practical, since the extra seat won't always be used, just an option if needed.

So, there's my situation LOL. If I end up hating it, I hope I can craigslist it for what I paid, since it was so far below MSRP.

Thanks again!

At that price, I would have gone for it too! I paid $700 for mine.. (Insert projectile vomit here)

I'm sure you'll love it!
