How old was your childn when they outgrew the Radian FFing? I've just recently turned DD and she only has about an inch until she reaches the top slots. I am not comfortable with her using them over the top. We have 4 Radians for her spread thorughout the family, and one Nautilus. Looks liek I will be saving for FR85's to ge ther to booster age harnessed. ( shes 4yo4mo, 42inches, 43lbs)

Remember an inch is about a year so if your ok boostering at 5 you may not need a Frontier. Some do outgrow fairly early when parents choose not to go above the top slots.

My 5 yr old has less thna 1/2 inch before her shoulders are even with the top slots of the radian, she rides in a Fn normally.

I did try her out on a FR85 at BRU the other day, she had TONS of room. I had some trouble fiuring out the chest clip, Ithink it was bent? But at east the buckle was easier than the Nautilus.

Huh, I guess I was expecting to get longer use out of it FF. I guess it's good thing DS1 will be fully transitioned to boosters by the time DS2 is needing a bigger FF seat.

Megan outgrew it at 5 yrs old (shoulders at THS, can't go over on Canadian seats) and I think 45lbs, and outgrew the Nauti at 6 and 50ish pounds.
My not quite 3 yr old is right at the second to top slots when the seat is installed FF (he rides RF on the second to top slot).
It's tall for a convertible.

My just turned 6 year old is right at the top slots..but he rides in a booster fulltime so its not a big deal. He's tiny at only 43" and 37lbs.

My just turned 4 year old was just moved up to the top slots and lots of room to grow. She's 39" and 27lbs.

My 5-year-old is about even with the top slots, and then we're going to the Frontier85 until age 8 or so. Whenever he outgrows the harness in that seat, so I don't know when that will be. I'm guessing.

He is about 48 inches or so, I think.

So what you're all saying, here, is if my 3y5month old has 1" to go in his radians I'm on the hook for a Frontier? I sort of knew that, but... blah.
