I voted one, but it depends.... I can't even grab onto the Husky with just 1 hand so I use 2 -- during seatchecks I usually teach parents to use 1, although with teenaged driving siblings I sometimes encourage a more solid install if it's the kid who has to install the carseat.

I know it's only necessary to do one. But if I grab with one and the CAR shakes I feel encouraged and satisified and do it with two just so I can give myself Mad Propz :D:rolleyes:

I think one hand - although I think I might hold the one hand with my other? I'm not terribly sure though right now without going out and doing it. I know with others vehicles I'm not yanking hard, but I'm thinking I use one hand just on the seat (like resting it there kind of,) and then wiggle it with the other hand. Fat lot of help I was huh?

With my radian I use 2 hands because I have difficulty gripping it.

One at the belt path and one holding the front of the seat just so I don't fall over. That sounds stupid, like why would I fall over?

I do two. I want to make sure the seatbelt is LOCKED tight and won't slip after 2-3 in/outs.

LOL - I have fallen over  - I turned around and thought I was still on the seat. Slid right down between the seats! Darn leather seats are slippery.

I use two hands, one at the beltpath and one at the top of the seat. I know you only need to check at the beltpath, but since it's tethered, I like to make sure that part is tight too. The seat doesn't budge anywhere!

I do one hand at the belt path, it's easier for parents I guess. I don't want them thinking it's too hard to install their car seats! Interesting to see most people do two hands though!

I know that it isn't neccessary to use both hands, but I consider myself a bit of a weakling. Therefore I check with both hands to ensure that my install is rock solid.

I generally check with two hands... but I also know what strength I use with just one hand and I replicate that. When I am teaching a parent how to do an install, I only use one hand.

I usually use one hand to test but have been known to try two to double check. DH also likes to test my installs and I have to remind him the carseat is not a football practice tackling block.

DH likes to joke that if the car is not rocking, then the carseat ain't locking. Actually he's pretty serious about it, and I have to remind him to tone down his testing a few notches.
