Disney/Cinderella booster commercial

Anybody seen it?

I just saw it when fast forwarding through commercials on my DVR. It was on a episode of Snapped on Oxygen.

It's by NHTSA and talks about kids needing a booster until 4'9". I think the seat they were using was an Oobr, but I'm not sure (I'm not as knowledgable on boosters).

Edit: just looked at again, I don't think it's an Oobr...but idk what it is

That's been around for a couple years now. I want to say it's a Turbo but I don't remember for sure.

Yeah, if they made boosters for hips as wide as mine, I would use one too! Seat belts are made for men.

And I'm 5'6".

True story! And you even have about 7 inches on me :)

It stinks... you shouldn't have to get in and try out seatbelts in cars... they should be adjustable... not just the shoulderbelt, but the lapbelt and the buckle... not sure how to best execute that (but that's what engineers are for)

It's an oldie but goodie! ;) I think there are several versions.

I remember bookmarking this one and showing it to my granddaughter when she was around 6 or 7 and she will be 11 in June.

A mom in my daughter's class told me that the law was 4'0" bc that's what she saw on the Disney commercial!!! That's why her son (6 yo) doesn't use a booster anymore. I told her that it is 4'9" and that her son does need to be boostered. Even with commercials....people get it wrong!!

Ahh I've had dvr for years and never watch commercials - so I guess that's why I didn't know it was old!

Here the recommendation is 4'9", but there is no law for boosters (just to use a car seat until they are at least 40lbs or 6yrs..). I am impressed though by how many of my daughter's friends at age 8 are still using boosters!
We need some commercials like this in Canada. I have yet to see any promoting car seat/booster use.
