I'm assuming you're asking position because of how far the seat it from the retractor? I think it's okay.

Yeah but makes me uneasy. It does just feel so far... Lol. The belt fits him good.
KAC you got it.

Why is the seat so tipped sideways? If you look at the recline thingy, it looks like the seat is tipped to the driver's side significantly.
The distance from the retractor doesn't bother me.

I know the belt fit is good, I know it's an approved seat position and I know that I shouldn't worry about this, but here it goes...

In my head, I just think of a side crash from the driver's side and him and the seat going off the bench... HOWEVER... you have it latched in... and obviously he can't just slide off the seat... seatbelt keeping him in it and all that... So I think it's just fine.

Again, I know I shouldn't worry about that being a possibility, but it just makes me only want to use a latched carseat or a latchable booster there.

I think the look of it being tipped is the camera angle (it looks like she's taking it from the driver or passenger seat and that's tough)

I see everyone in the rear looking tilted and the vehicle seat edge looking tilted, which is why I think that.

Glad in not the only one thinking that. But I feel like cause it's latched that makes it better. The angle is from the camera. It sits good on the seat.

In a driver's side crash, the seat will move to its left (toward the impact); a passenger side impact would cause movement to the right (toward the empty-space). Where does the lap belt come from? It doesn't come from across the aisle on the wall of the car, does it?

We'll need a shot of the lap belt...

I'll get you one to make sure. We were out shopping for the wedding and I jumped in and took a pick because it just is something that bothers me.

Oh, I see in your sig picture that the lap portion comes from the wall, too, but from well behind the seat.

I'd be interested to know how well that seating position performs in offset and side impacts that might send someone moving to the right, but I don't imagine that information is available.

And that is my quandary. I wonder if any tests or data has information about that position.

I just can't put another unlatcged seat there and feel good about it. It has an arm rest but what is that worth?
