Guide 65 question

Anyone have the guide 65? I was wondering on ease of install RF. does it usually need a rolled towel or noodle? I need something for my hubby's truck for my 10 month old son. DS is right at 30 inches with just 1 inch of shell left in key fit 30, so for the one time a week my hubby takes us , we use that.

I kept my now 3.5 yr old daughter RF till 16 months in my car ( should have longer). My hubby turned her FF at 13 months in his car, I couldn't convince him to leave her RF.

Anyways, I plan to have him keep my son RF at least till 18 month, but the thing is it will have to be a quick Installing seat ( he doesn't want to leave it in there.

Scenera is not a quick install for him or me.

Thoughts?

I haven't actually installed one, but from looking at the base I'd guess you need a noodle. I tried my son out in one and the fit with the headrest and such is just weird, I don't like it. If you don't want a Scenera I'd probably get an Evenflo Titan over a Guide 65.

Do you think the titan sport needs a noodle? I think I'd like to stay under 90 for this car seat ( his primary RF is an britax marathon 65)

I have a scenera for an extra car seat for friends kids and a girl (2) babysit 2 days a week in my car FF

Nope, it usually doesn't need one.

If you could swing up to $130, an Evenflo Triumph or a Graco MyRide are both super easy installs, and will last quite a bit longer than either the Scenera, Titan, or Guide.

Thanks! maybe I'll try the titan sport then, I agree the others may last longer, if DH would let me spend more I would. I got my daughter the nauti and he thought it was needed. Sure I could have gotten the maestro, but as her primary car seat it seemed like the best option. She is 31 lbs, 36 inches and sitting height of 13.75- 14 inches

The guide is just as tall as the myride. I have pictures of my almost 5 year old in it. She outgrew the Scenera along time ago.
