What seat should I recommend?

My mom is a preschool teacher and transports a preschool student (B) to his daycare (my sister) after school. She currently has a Graco Nautilus that B rides in. The problem that she's having is that between the Tahoe sitting up so high and the high arm rests on the Nauti, B can't get into the Nauti on his own and when she trys to help him in she ends up hitting his head on the door frame or ceiling. She'd like a lower profile seat that's easier for him to get into on his own. I suggested the Evenflo Maestro after she asked me about the Cosco Highback Harness Booster. Is there anything else that I should recommend her to look at besides the Maestro?

He turned 3 in November I think and my sister (his daycare provider) says that he probably weighs 35 pounds or so. My mom will only have him for 1 more year before he goes to elementary school.

When trying to do the opposite - getting a higher seat so Matt could see out - I didn't find the Nautilus to make much of a difference compared to the SecureKid 400, which is similar to the Maestro. Part of the problem could be that the seat is so closed in. Try a light foot stool. Matt uses one from the dollar spot at Target to help him get in.

Honestly I'd work on his climbing skills. Elizabeth was able to climb into my van and into a rear-facing seat by the age of 2. If she can lift him onto the floorboard he should be able to climb into the seat by himself.

We used a foot stool for DD1 when I was pregnant. I couldn't lift her due to the pregnancy. The stool worked great.
