What about this?

Okay, I realize this website is in Japanese, but just look at the product. Would this be safe? It's basically a little pad that has two loops that hold the seatbelt off your tummy, I would assume this would work even if you aren't pregnant. I'm looking at it because the lap belt never fits me properly, and is always riding up on my stomach. So what do you all think?
