Question Is this a bus or a van?

My 5yo nephew is going on a field trip in this vehicle, without his booster. Is this considered a bus? I freaked my sister out enough that she went and took a picture for me.

She asked about his booster at drop-off and the teacher said they're not necessary. :(

Looks like a bus to me. I live down the road from a bus company, and I often see these go down the road. They're shorter, but they look like they have "bus" type seats on the inside. HTH.

Ugh. Hopefully next time she'll leave his booster regardless of what the teacher says. I mean, he's not my kid and I can't force her to do anything, but I'm worried anyway. :(

that looks a lot like a bus (short one) that I saw in early episodes of the Duggars' show... it had lap-only belts, so not sure if this one will have seatbelts with shoulderbelts or seatbelts at all, but that's what that one had.

So what's the safest option? I know I'm a tech, but I'm not up to speed on bus travel. He's 5 1/2, 50 pounds, no idea how tall and 100% boostered. Does great too, btw.

Is it legal for this church to send kids off on this bus with no restraints?
