Question Problem with Diono RF in Subaru Outback 2009

Hello,

I just replaced our old car seats with two Diono R100 to make space for an extra passenger in the back. My younger kid is 20 months and I'd like for him to stay rear facing as long as possible; however, the seat is taking up so much space that there is no room for someone to sit in the front. The angle adjuster didn't really improve things much. Was anyone able to install the seat backward facing and have someone sit in front of it reasonably comfortably?

Also, where did you install the tether? I tried the left bottom anchor of the front seat but that pulls the seat over to one side and doesn't seem safe.

Thanks,
Pat
