My husband is writing a college research paper on carseats, he has all the pros to it and is actually having a hard time find reputable sources against the use of them. So he would like to know from the CPST's... Question number three is needed to be able to cite the source, not for anyother reason, you can PM me that info if you want.

1. What are the most common reasons for not using CR properly?
2. Common reasons for moving towards the next step in CR's (ex. RF to FF, FF to Booster)
3. Full name, CPST number and which company trained you.

TIA,
Christy

1. Not reading the manual. Most people think its common sense, when in fact its obviously not. There are so many different seats that each require heir own individual installation. Reading the manual is a must.
2. People dont realise that a step up on the scale, is really a step down in safety. People often believe that it is almost like a right of passage. The lack of education in the community is a hige contributor. All it takes is one crash test video to change most minds, but how do we get that crash test video out to the general public?
3. Amber Stringer, 644623, and Im trained for my own benefit.

1. What are the most common reasons for not using CR properly?.

People just don't understand WHY it's important to use them perfectly every time, or why "good enough" is not good enough at all.

2. Common reasons for moving towards the next step in CR's (ex. RF to FF, FF to Booster).

Moving through each stage is percieved as a right of passage, a milestone to be celebrated. The degradation of safety as each stage progresses simply isn't appreciated or understood.

3. Full name, CPST number and which company trained you.
