Bergan Tether

My roommate lost our dog's Bergan tether :( While I wait to get a new one or find the old one what would you suggest for car rides? I have my nanny kids in the car plus pup today. Would you be comfortable with a latch strap off a damaged Nautilus back? It clips just find onto the tether loops, and can attach to a latch anchor. Otherwise I just have a length of webbing to use.

Suggestions appreciated. I just don't know what to do, and am about to leave to get the kids.

Thanks!

She is right at 40lbs (maybe a bit over now since spending a weekend with my parents). And if I have both nanny kids in the car she goes up front. Otherwise she is in the back where there are 2 extra seat belts. Up front there is the passenger side seat belt. I drive an '06 Nissan Sentra. Using this set up today was really nice since it clipped in much more easily.

I would feel ok using the Nauti strap. If not, I would just use the seat belt.

I'd use the LATCH strap for now if it's easiest. 40 pounds minus the weight of a car seat, I'm sure it will do a good job until you get a replacement.

Thanks for the help! Turns out my roommate thought it belonged under a pillow on the bench in our kitchen  So yay! No having to buy a new tether for me, though I will keep the latch strap handy for next time she finds a new place to hide it.
