I am selling my 03' oddessey to get a 4 cylender to save on gas. We were looking at around 05' forester but after reading on here having second thoughts. I have a 5yo 34lbs 2.5 yo 24lbs And a 7.5 mo 16lb. All my kids r very small. hub only 5'4"! If we purchase 3 radian seats w the forester has anyone had any luck fitting them in or if anyone can reccomend what seat combo I could buy to make a good fit? I could just take on test drive to a retailer but finding sitter for my youngest is impossible. She dosnt take a bottle! What about if we give up on the forester and just go with a outback. Needs to be 10k or under so we are limited to early 2000 to mid 2000 models. I dont mind buying the seats if it will all work out. Right now we have a recaro signa, air ride 65, britex boulevard, chicco keyfit and i thik its an even flotriumph advance.

Dooooon't doooo iiiitttt :p But really, every time I get into a Forester I'm shocked by how little room there is. I'm really not joking when I say over and over that my Prius has more room.
I do believe Outbacks are bigger. Can you bring the whole family out to test drive? Try out the seats, try the kids in the seats, see how it all works. That's my best suggestion.

Another person saying no to the early gen foresters. You're going to hate it. The outback is on a wider set chassis given a little bit of extra room.

Is your 2.5 year old rear facing or forward facing?

I have an 06 impreza sedan and have gotten multiple three across situations. My suggestions kind of depend on whether or not your 2 year old is rear or forward facing.
