KEENS bargains

Are you opposed to buying used? I've gotten 3 pairs from 3 different sellers on eBay, and they've been perfect; looking brand new. I didn't pay over $20 for any of them (and the 1 I paid $20 for was the old style for DD in the specific color she wanted - I emailed the seller and asked for a BIN option, which he obliged).

I have never bought them before but see they are around $45-$50 a pair (kids). Are they really worth the money if the kids will outgrow them quickly vs. buying knock offs?

I just got an e-mail from Olly Shoes about Keens and they have $15 off a $75 purchase, but not sure if that would make it as inexpensive as you are looking for.

I do like the way they look, just wondering if they are worth the price.

If you're okay with used, check resale shops. I found two pairs for DS for only $3.50 each at Once Upon a Child. They were in pretty good condition too, one is like new!

I'll second the jumping beans brand sandals. We are going onto our second season in them. They look terrible but they still have miles left of them and will make great play/pool shoes this summer.

I think the jumping beans only come in toddlers. 9 & 10 are the biggest I saw online, so those won't work. Matthew wears 11. The big kids are 1 and 3. Probably. :) I'm actually not sure of the big kids' sizes.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll look at 6pm - they have a few options but sometimes the sizes aren't great. I had checked them earlier.

I got ours at ollys for 40. I regularly pay around 50 for my sons shoes so it didn't seem unreasonable to me. I feel almost as strongly about foot development as most of us feel about car seat safety. Telling me to buy my son cheap shoes would be like telling you that you don't need a radian because a scenera will work. Of course it will work but is it the most ergonomic? User friendly? Comfortable?

Can you throw the Jumping Beans in the was? I've never owned keens but think you can with those. Sofi would need them for walking in the river at camp

Were you looking at toddlers? I was looking at girls shoes and saw sizes 12, 13, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

I always buy my daughter's Keens from LL Bean. I don't think i've paid more than $35 for a pair. We usually just get her whatever color/pattern is cheapest though. I have also bought a pair or two on ebay and just wash them when I get them. We all love Keens and that's really all DD wears in the spring / summer

I need some too. Somewhere that will ship to Canada without me spending an arm and a leg.

TinySoles has free shipping to Canada and normally has a 10% coupon over $35. They just had a 20% off sale last week. Their Facebook page has the sale and coupon info.

Thanks, Techno. That's the best I've seen. DS1 wears a 13 so they are $50 but that's better than I've seen anywhere else. DS2's size is cheaper though.

I posted a new thread about this, but in case if anyone is following this thread - girls' Keen Sunport sandals are the Deal of the Day at REI Outlet, on sale for $12.93.

Keens are also on sale at Nordstroms. Does anybody have a tried and true way of getting the smell out of Keens? After about three days, my son's start to smell horrible.
