Help w/ Vehicle and RF Car Seats

Hi all, I"ve tried searching and haven't had much luck finding our situation.

We've got a 1yr daughter, 24 lbs and a new baby due in June.

Wife currently has an '05 Accord and a RF Safety1st Complete Air 65 behind the passenger seat. Not a lot of room for me when I ride along (I'm 6'1).

The new baby would be in a Graco SnugRide travel system.

We've been looking for a vehicle that would allow both front seats to be all the way back with two RF seats installed and haven't had luck with anything besides a minivan (which she isn't interested in unless it's the only option).

We're hoping to find something for her '05 or newer for 10-15k that she'll drive for about five years. I'll be getting a company car in the fall which she'd get afterwards, so I'd need something that could do both too.

Are there better choices in car seats that would take up less space? We already have the Safety1st at a 30 deg. angle.

There's gotta be something we're missing. We really don't want to turn daughter #2 for at least another year if not longer, but it seems like we may be out of options if we want legroom and no minivan.

Thank in advance for the advice!

The Britax convertibles (roundabout 55, marathon 70, boulevard 70, advocate70cs) take up very little front-back space. You could try one of those.

Other than that, I'd honestly just take the seats with you car shopping and try them out. Make sure that the front seat is in its most upright position, as that can sometimes give you a couple of extra inches.
