Ooops! I washed my safestop

I washed my flora cover and when I pulled it out of the wash, I realized the safe stop was still attached. I assume it's no good now. I don't have a kid over 40 lbs so if I need to use it FF how should I instal it? I have one on the Radian 80 but the time I tried to use it I couldn't get it on, it's like they sewed the loop too small.

There are instructions in your manual on how to use the Safe Stop. You remove the harness loops off of the yoke in the back, slide the yoke through the fabric loop on the SS and attach the harness loops to the yoke on the SS.

I have tons of extra safe stops. PM me your mailing address and I'll get one to you. No charge.

So the way I'm reading the manual, I need to instal with the seat belt and not use the top tether right? Or make her RF while I wash the cover on her frontier.

Me too especially since I have 4 full sets of latch in my van and only 2 kids. I'd still like to confirm I read the manual right though.

Correct. If she is going to FF, install with the seat belt and no top tether.

When using the safe stop you must always use the top tether. The safe stop actually increases head excursion. It is meant to reduce neck loads. Not using the top tether with safe stop is very dangerous as the head will travel too far forward.

If there is no top tether you install with the seatbelt and do not use the safe stop. If that situation arises and the child still fits the Radian RF I would definitely RF.

She should be RF if your other choice is an untethered FF seat.
