While searcing this site to find out the latch limits of the '01 Caravan, I stumbled upon a thread about defective seats in many Dodge vans (the seats can collapse backward in a rear end crash hitting children in carseats)!?! While I am now horrified at the vehicle company, I am wondering what our best course of action is since we are unable to trade vehicles right now.
Does anyone know if this defect is only on the front seats?? If so, I was thinking that putting our older ff child in the back row would give him protection from this. However if it's not just the front two seats collapsing then that doesn't help him. We could then put our rf child in the middle of the 2nd row which would put him kind of in between the two front seats hopefully protecting her.
Does anyone have any other info on this?
