My 3rd grader needs to do a speech/report this month on safety, so since we know a lot of info on car safety he decided to do it on car safety. My son since a very young age has always been vigilant about making sure he was buckled in properly and is quick to identify when someone is not and tell them or their parent!
We recently moved to FL where there is basically no car safety laws. Kids are only required to be in any restraint until 5 and 9 out of 10 kids this is what's really happening. I literally have only seen a handful of kids who have been in boosters that are my kid's ages. So I am assuming that most kids in his class are not in a booster. I would like for him to talk about how boosters are the way to go and educate the kids, so they can go back and tell their parents.
I had an idea of making a life size drawing of a child who is 4'9 and each kid can stand in the drawing to see if they were that tall. Any other ideas?
