Do I *really* need 5 seats for 2 kids?

Someone has asked for my Ave. I had offered it to a family member, but they didn't end up needing it. So, I started using it off and on just so it wasn't wasting away in the closet. I have remembered that I quite like it and am waffling as to whether or not to give it up. Silly? Maybe. Regardless, I thought you all might like to help me decide. ;-)

I have a MR, TF, RA55 and Maestro between two vehicles. DD still fits in all but the RA55. DS is still rf in the MR, TF or RA55. DD has outgrown the Ave rfing but has about .25" left ffing. DS still fits rfing.

I like having an extra seat in case someone gets sick or has a potty accident. Do I *need* it, though? The second vehicle is only used on the weekends if we aren't in the first vehicle. Unless we were transporting someone else's kid(s), we do not need all four seats simultaneously. It's just nice not to have to play musical seats if one is out of commission for whatever reason, you know? So, if I do keep a spare around, should I get another Maestro instead?

Thoughts?

When the TF was being persnickety, I was all set to get DD a FR85. Now that the TF is fixed, I can't justify that. But I think I might break out in anxious hives giving up the Ave and not getting anything to replace it. LOL!

I have 6 for 2. A set in my van, a set in DH's van, and MIL has a set. If you don't use it, I can see not keeping it, but if you do, I would.

I have 6 for 2. And am considering one more. Lol. To be fair I have two kids I baby sit but that is ending soon.

I think I just like them. I had a panic menu today when I saw my 7.5 yr olds feet touch the floor while sitting in the van. I know he is nowhere near 5 stepping but it's coming!!

I have 6 seats for 2 kids + an RSTV, a CARES, and we just got a booster for DD b/c her arm is broken and its hard/painful to get her into her Radian. So really, I have 8 seats+CARES for 2 kids.

5 seats is not nearly enough for 2 kids! Lol :D
You can't possibly give one away!

Where do you keep them?!

I have 12 for 2 kids and am having storage problems. 2 are at MIL's, to share with cousins, so I'm really only storing 10 and that is taking over my finished basement.

I don't think you're going to find anyone here to tell you 5 seats are too many LOL. I feel like I have the bare minimum of what I need and that is 3 per kid.

Ashley- Mom to Morgan 2/25/04 riding in SK Monterey and Clek Olli, Jackson and Colton 11/1/10 riding in Diono R120's and Recaro ProRIDE's

You guys have a problem. I have only 8 on my car seat shelf and 1 in my car for my 3 grandkids. One is expired.

I like the Avenue. I'd keep it. Let them get their own. It's good for 3 across. Plus if you're borrowing it out, you'll be sad when you get it back most likely. Don't do it.:)

9 seats are in vehicles.

One side of my garage is dedicated to car seat storage. My DH got me a nice shelf. But my boxes don't all fit so some are stacked on the ground along the wall.
