successful Husky sbp install, and a 3 across, only to find out I put one kid in the wrong car.

OK so to make a long story short, my ex couldn't afford insurance on the car I bought him ( and that is still in my name) when we were married so I ended up having to go get it over the weekend so I can sell it. My Suburban broke down at about the same time so I'm driving the Xterra for DD's piano lesson tomorrow. After spending the whole day cleaning what amounted to an ash tray on wheels YUKYUKYUK, I finally felt I could put my kids in it without risking lung cancer and assorted breathing issues. Having the Suburban, the F350, and the Lincoln as the usual kid cars, I bought seats with total disregard to size for the last couple of years.

So here I go to put the kids in this car, and what do I have to work with? Husky, Radian, Laptop, and assorted boosters.

Now I'm not really happy with the way the laptop is fitting DD(5yrs) lately, and DS (7yrs) is too tall for the center seat back so that is out. The boosters are thin, but won't work in the center and do not mesh well with the Radian.

I decide that if I have to, I'll put 11 yr old DD in the front (she's 5 foot 2) and put the two little ones in 5 pts in the back.

So here I am installing the Husky driver's side out board. Just because, I decide to see if the Husky will fit short path with recline bar. No problemo. Easier than LBP actually, I have to take the recline bar off for LBP.

Looking at the Husky sitting there, It really looks like the Radian would puzzle right in rfing. Just to see I set it there (not installed) sure looks like it would work. I make a mental note for when babysitting 2 yr old cousin, sigh wishing dd was still small enough to rf, and flip it around. Then just because I can never admit defeat easily, I decide to try ti install it next to the Husky. To my complete surprise, it slides right in against the Husky and leaves enough room for me to sit passenger outboard. So, because I still have that 25 lb 2 yr old cousin on my mind, and because I'm the nerd I am, I grab the Intera to see if it will go in for a 3 across. Perfect fit rfing and ffing. Now I just wish I had another Radian to try in there.

But my mom rented an Expedition while the Lincoln is in the shop, so I pacify myself with thoughts of having a new car to play with.

How's that for car seat obsession.

Then my mom reminds me that DS is going with HER tomorrow and I don't need his seat in the Xterra at all.
