This has been bugging me a while.
I'll send you a cookie if you can recall the name of the booster I had for my boys when they were little, and two cookies if you find me a picture of it.
I bought a pair of these boosters in or about January of 2000. They were purchased online. They were navy blue; I don't think they came in any other color. They were high-back boosters. I am fairly sure they converted to a low back, and I think the back was attached to the seat with Velcro. They came with very lightweight black plastic snack trays which attached with velcro. The weight limit was, I believe, 80 or 100 lbs. I remember they were the highest limit boosters I could find at the time, because I had a really chunky 4 year old. I think they cost about $80 or so each, which was a LOT for a booster 12 years ago, or at least it was the most money I'd ever seen for a booster at that time.
I seem to recall that they had some kind of navigational type name. Something that reminded me of a starship captain's chair or something. Something like "Navigator" or "Nautical" or "Compass" or "Enterprise" (LOL) - seriously, I don't remember the names. But they were the cushiest looking comfiest looking seats I could find. I got them when DH and I were about to get married and we were planning on trekking back and forth from CA to OR so the kids would be able to visit their dad at least a couple times a month, so the trays and the comfort level were super important.
They were riding in Century Breverras (without the harnesses since they had long since outgrown those) in my car and we really needed something better for long trips. I just wish I could remember what those things were.
