Seats that don't tighten enough for the littles!

I just noticed this on 2 different seats and am wondering if there are others.

Last nite a baby went home in an Evenflo Embrace with a front adjuster. It didn't have the shorter setting on the harness and it did not fit the baby tight enough by a fair amount. The baby was slightly under 5 lbs. Still with the harness slots so low, you'd think it would fit any baby.:)

Another one I saw recently was a baby who was a little over 5 lbs and went home in this seat. Again, the harness didn't adjust snug enough.

I think it's an On Board or a Sure Fit (I thought I remembered reading Sure Fit on it at Target, but not for sure). THis one was awhile ago, and I can't remember for sure, but I likely checked that it was in the shorter harness setting, if it has one.

My first Radian didn't tighten fully on my four month old DD. She was already on the second slots but it couldn't pass the pinch test. The splitter plate was against the back of the harness adjuster, no SafeStop on, the harness was simply too long.

Diono now has a smaller set of harness straps, which should rectify that problem. Old radians with the non-removable harness can't be rectified.

Right, I know that. This was before they had the shorter harnesses available, right after they came out with user-replaceable harness seats. I don't have that particular seat any more because it was crashed.

The Scenera was not tight enough on Ilana at 8#, that was 5 yrs ago so maybe it's gotten better.

The RadianXT wasn't tight enough w/out the infant insert and then barely at 10.5#.

Evenflo has the Discovery 35 now for hospitals that has 4# rating that is supposed to work well, as well as the Comfy Carry from Safety 1st.
